A Brief History of GranTurk Equipment Co., Inc.

GranTurk Equipment Co., was incorporated in 1969 by principals with equipment distribution experience dated back to 1946.  Our original facility was located in Warrington, Pennsylvania from which we offered sales, parts and service for Leach Company trash bodies and Elgin sweepers in the territory including the eight counties in southern New Jersey, eight counties in eastern Pennsylvania and New Castle County in Delaware.  Other lines of equipment were soon added and the Company has operated profitably since that time.

In 1979 GranTurk moved to larger facilities in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and in August of 1993 moved to modern, new and larger quarters in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania.  Three salesmen operate out of our Bridgeport office.

In January 1990 the company opened a branch office and shop in Baltimore, Maryland with excellent parts and service facilities and with salesmen operating out of that office.  Presently, this branch covers the entire State of Maryland, Washington D.C. and the southern portion of Delaware so that together with our Bridgeport office, we now cover the entire eastern seaboard from southern New Jersey to and including Maryland's eastern shore.

As of 2010 GranTurk has extended service to the State of Virginia. We look forward to providing excellent parts, sales and service to our newest area.
